It is often difficult in our affluent community. This posting makes me think of a reflection I had myself when returning from seeing my oldest, dearest friend. I felt that spending rich, wonderful time with her made it so much easier for me to stay away from many "bucket dippers" (as my 7 yr old refers to people who deplete you) in my neighborhood. I strive to spend time with more and more "bucket fillers". Thanks!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889130693339652420.post-53483905544681595982009-05-20T06:17:47.864-07:002009-05-20T06:17:47.864-07:00Cecile Andrews, In response to your post on Simpli...Cecile Andrews, In response to your post on Simplicity, Consumerism and Environmental Destruction :

Industrial Society Destroys Mind and Environment.

Industrial Society is destroying necessary things [Animals, Trees, Air, Water and Land] for making unnecessary things [consumer goods].

"Growth Rate" - "Economy Rate" - "GDP"

These are figures of "Ecocide".
These are figures of "crimes against Nature".
These are figures of "destruction of Ecosystems".
These are figures of "Insanity, Abnormality and Criminality".

The link between Mind and Social / Environmental-Issues.

The fast-paced, consumerist lifestyle of Industrial Society is causing exponential rise in psychological problems besides destroying the environment.
